WiFi Overview 360 Pro
Why does the app need LOCATION PERMISSION and why does the
PERMISSIONS need to be approved?
This is unfortunately due to Google. As of November this year, all apps published
in the Google Play Store must be compiled with the target SDK 28 (Android 8). As
a result, certain permissions need to be acknowledged by the user and location
tracking must be enabled to obtain WLAN scan results. Widget problem is solved
too in the new version.
WiFi Overview 360 Pro is an universal information tool for wifi networks
(inclusive 4 widgets and “Quick Connect Shortcut” function and NEW with
a powerful “WiFi Sniffer” function).
With this tool you can manage and optimize your used wireless network and and
with one look you'll get detailed information of the WLANs (WLAN name (SSID),
signal strength, channelnumber, encryptionin - open or not) in your environment.
The new powerful "WiFi Sniffer" expanded the Android function enormously. "WiFi
Sniffer" looking for open WLANs, gives a notification (sound, pop-up text window,
vibrate and text-to-speech
- if you want) and can
connect automatically.
Note: With a weak and
fluctuating wireless
network is a successful
connection often not
possible. Numerous
connections will fail,
requires time and cost a
lot of battery power. For this reason, try to connect only to stronger wlans. You
can use the “connect sensitivity” slider to set it. A pretty good limit is -81 dBm.
However, it can be different from phone to phone.
The tab "Ch check" (channel checker) and "Ch. radar" (channel radar) are
powerful tool to optimize your own wlan network. For best performance your
network must use a channel or frequency range where are no other wireless
networks or little as possible. WiFi Overview 360 Pro gives you the best choice for
the channel.
